The Statue Cruises
Taking the Trip to Witness Liberty

Statue Cruises
The Official Statue of Liberty Tour & Ellis Island Cruise.

The Statue Cruises operates under Hornblower Cruises. It allows visitors to go on a trek to the iconic Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, the cornerstones of freedom and independence in the nation.

The Statue Cruises gives visitors the opportunity to travel through the New York Harbor into Ellis Island. Though there are two departure points in New York and New Jersey for locals and residents, hundreds of thousands of international visitors also make their way into Liberty and Ellis Islands.

Both Liberty and Ellis Island are historical artifacts that bear immense historical significance. Ellis Island is one of the ports through which immigrants came into the United States. On the other hand, Liberty Island is where visitors can find the Statue of Liberty.

Visitors look forward to the ferry ride because it provides them with the chance to hop aboard the two historical lands. Additionally, the ferry ride includes admission to both islands, along with an audio tour.

The Statue Cruises also puts visitors in touch with a significant and powerful memory. Immigrants mostly traveled by boat to reach Ellis Island in order to gain access to the United States. Though it is not very similar to the conditions the immigrants faced, visitors can get a sense of what it felt like to approach the site of Lady Liberty and the neighboring islands. In transporting visitors to the sites, the Statue Cruises gives them insight into how hopeful immigrants felt upon approaching.

Upon entering Ellis Island, visitors can then further their own educational and sensory experiences within the Immigration Museum. On Liberty Island, visitors have the chance to ascend the Statue of Liberty. They can also peer out of its crown and torch. The experience represents a pivotal portion of America’s history and encourages visitors to experience and learn about it.
