Pandora Store 42nd Street NYC
Founded in 1982 by Danish Jeweler, Per Enevoldsen, Pandora makes hand-finished contemporary jewelry. Known for its collectible charm bracelets, which are the cornerstone of their brand, Pandora also manufactures rings, earrings, and necklaces.
Per Enevoldsen started the company with his then-wife, Winnie, opening a small jewelry shop in Copenhagen. As demand for their products grew they slowly shifted their focus to wholesale clients by importing products to Denmark.
On the heels of their burgeoning success, they decided to hire in-house designers to work with them. And in 2000, just seven years after their founding launched their signature charm bracelets. With approval from their customers, the brand expanded into international markets including The United States in 2003 and Australia in 2004.
The Pandora Store on 42nd Street
What started as a small mom and pop jewelry retailer almost 40 years ago has become a global brand that is sold in over 100 countries, on six continents. Over the course of a (relatively) few short years, in 2011 Pandora became the world’s third largest jewelry company after Cartier and Tiffany & Co.
