Carnegie Hall
Experience live performances at one of the most prestigious concert halls

carnegie hall

Carnegie Hall is one of the most prestigious performing arts venues in the world. And it’s named after the philanthropist who built it: steel tycoon Andrew Carnegie. William Burnet Tuthill designed the building in 1891. It was instantly regarded as a remarkable architectural achievement. Carnegie Hall is comprised of three auditoriums: the Isaac Stern Auditorium, Zankel Hall, and the Weill Recital Hall. The Stern Auditorium’s stage, Perelman Stage, has featured many of the most celebrated figures in classical and popular music. Combined, these rooms have a total of 3671 seats, where music lovers can enjoy a fabulous show.

Other than its three performance spaces, the building also features an education wing and a museum. In the Rose Museum, visitors can explore the hall’s rich cultural history through archives of concert programs, videos and photographs. The Resnick Education Wing hosts a number of different programs dedicated to music education and is lead by professional musicians. In addition, the hall provides a number of elegant spaces open for event hosting, banquets, and more.

Carnegie Hall is a national cultural landmark. When you enter its doors, it’s hard not to reflect on the number of legends who have done the same. Carnegie Hall is located at 57th Street and 7th Avenue, but as the saying goes, the fastest way to get there is to “practice!”
