The Tour at NBC Studios grants visitors the exciting opportunity to step foot into the historic 30 Rockfeller Plaza (The Rock) and explore the site in which dozens of television’s biggest titans have earned their fame. At the heart of Midtown, in one of the most famous skyscrapers, the Tour is as quintessentially “New York” as you can get. It is here where Johnny Carson, David Letterman, Conan, and Jimmy Fallon have aired their famous Late Night talk shows. Also, with a history dating back to the early 1930’s, you can be certain that hundreds of stars and TV icons have set foot on that same ground you’ll be walking on.
Studio tours of NBC have been operating since 1933. After a brief shutdown in 2014, the Tour reopened with extensive renovations. During your hour long visit you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the TV production process from industry experts. You’ll experience and interact with that process firsthand as you produce and star in your own television segment. While it’s possible to also see the studios behind shows like The Tonight Show, its nature as an active workplace means that there can be no guarantees. Due to the popularity of the Tour at NBC Studios, it’s also recommended to book tickets in advance. Come and experience the city’s famous entrepreneurial and showman spirit with your visit of NBC Studios.
