This newly renovated Staten Island theater is one of the borough’s most beloved cultural spots, showcasing national tours, musical concerts, dance performances, comedy shows and more. Centered in the historic St. George District, the 2800-seat venue first opened its doors on December 4, 1929.

With additional support from the community and government, the building was transformed into the marvel it is today. Restoration is still ongoing, but since the relaunch, stars from Brad Garrett and Jerry Seinfeld to Liza Minelli and Cyndi Lauper have entered its doors. In addition, the theatre hosts a variety of touring shows and concert acts every year. The St. George Theatre is worth checking out after riding the Ferry. Whether you’re seeing a performance, killing time, or enjoying architecture, there’ll be something for you!
