The very first McGettigan’s Pub opened its doors in Dublin in the 1960s, helmed by Jim McGettigan. The business has since opened restaurants in Dubai, Singapore, and New York City in addition to other Irish cities. Noteworthy dishes on the New York City menu include fish and chips, Irish beef stew, steak burgers, and Shepherd’s Pie.
Unique interior design, tasty Irish fare, and exciting sporting event coverage set McGettigan’s apart and ensured its success. Some of their locations have hosted live entertainment acts as well. The company owns its tagline, “The Modern Irish Experience,” as it reflects contemporary culture from the mother country. Since 2015, a total of 11 pubs have opened around the world. They are all sure to use their “proud history” to anchor in a “bright future.”
