Once an Off-Off-Broadway showcase, Manhattan Theatre Club (“MTC”) is now a premier company! Founded it 1970, it is dedicated to the production of new plays, musicals, and artists. Furthermore, its Education programs promote arts participation for the next generation. The Club currently has a subscriber base of about 20,000 people, but anyone can attend their productions. Many of them play at City Center, but the company also owns Broadway’s Friedman Theatre. MTC prides itself on the variety of the shows they produce each season. In fact, they presented the 2009 Pulitzer Prize-winning play: Ruined. More recent productions include Venus in Fur, Doubt, and a Tony-winning revival of The Little Foxes.
