Looking for something fun for you and the family to do in NYC during the holidays?

The market, called The Winter Village, has various European-inspired Holiday shops that you can enjoy before going to New York City’s FREE admission ice skating rink.
If you’re done shopping or enjoying the ice skating rink, you can head to The Lodge where the Winter Village’s new Bar and Food Hall are located. Sit back, relax and enjoy the cozy winter destination while trying food from some of New York’s finest restaurants.
You can also enjoy the observation deck called, The Overlook. This is a great place to sit back, relax and watch the ice skaters down below. Entering the Overlook is free! And they also provide games for family fun.
Special Events at The Winter Village
1) The Tree Lighting
On December 4th, the famous tree lighting event will take place at the Bryant Park Winter Village.
This year, Alan Cumming will read an Original Christmas tale while Olympic skaters bring the characters to life on ice. T
The Olympic skaters this year are Johnny Weir, Kaetlyn Osmond, Megan Duhamel, Eric Radford, and Jeremy Abbott.
Afterward, the tree will be lit and surrounded by fireworks. All those in attendance are invited to skate to live music after the lighting. This is a wonderful experience that you won’t want to miss.
2) Santa’s Corner
Santa’s Corner is one of the most popular events at the Winter Village! Bring your kids to meet Santa Claus and take some memorable pictures.
This event will take place from December 16th-23rd, 1-3 pm. This event is also free!
3) Caroling Session
Also, a beautiful caroling session will take place at Santa’s Corner on the December 16th and 23rd at 12:30 pm.
The famous New York Choristers will be performing!
4) Holiday Storytime
There will also be a Holiday Storytime on December 23rd at 12:30 pm which will include interactive fun for all kids!
