Queens Botanical Garden

For nature lovers, the Queens Botanical Garden is a great place to visit. Located in Flushing, this botanical garden has a selection of plants, roses, smaller gardens and so much more to explore and indulge in. They also have a variety of events that change weekly so there’s always something to do; currently for the fall season they have events like a pumpkin patch, a Farmers market, Halloween at the garden and much more!

 

Flushing Meadows Park

Flushing Meadows Park is a great public park located in the northern region of Queens and a definite must see with its famous Unisphere landmark! As one of the largest parks in Queens, there is no shortage of activities and things to do here. Take a scenic walk, play some sports on their baseball and football fields or basketball courts, or take a stroll through their historic museum.

 

New York Hall Of Science

For all those science lovers – be sure to check out the New York Hall of Science which is also located within Flushing Meadows Park! This is a fun and interactive place to learn more and channel your mind to awesomeness. It’s fit for all ages, and always has different exhibits and events going on. Currently, events that are on are: ‘Imagining Women in the Space Age’, ‘Weather the Weather’ and so much more!

 

Citi Field

Home to the New York Mets is the Citi Field stadium! This is a great place to check out for sports and baseball lovers, and it offers guided tours for people to wander and stroll through. Queens Zoo

Opened in 1968, the Queens Zoo has rapidly become a fun, colorful and exotic place to visit, with a range of different animals, some of which include an: American Alligator, Coyote, Puma and so much more. As well their amazing animals, they also have an array of different exhibits for visitors to enjoy such as: a sea Lion pool, a wildlife animal trail, a bird show and so much more – don’t miss out!

 

 

Rockaway Beach

The Rockaway Beach is a prime location to enjoy the sandy beach, roll of the waves and even indulge in surfing! It’s a great place to relax and spend time with friends and family or take a peaceful stroll along the boardwalk to take in the serene sights and soothing sound of the water.

 

Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge

For all nature and animal lovers, the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge is an incredible place to visit. It is a great place to watch birds (nearly 70 different species) and look out onto nature and all its beauty. The Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge also has various ponds that are great for scoping out and enjoying the view.

 

Gantry Plaza State Park

The Gantry Plaza State Park covers about 12 acres of area and provides a breathtaking view of the Midtown Manhattan skyline. Louis Armstrong House Museum

The Louis Armstrong House Museum was home to Louis Daniel Armstrong, a legendary and influential figure in jazz music. As a trumpeter, vocalist and significant figure in music, his presence is well known amongst people. Now, his house is open to the public as museum for visitors to browse around and even take part in educational and cultural events.
