Things to see in the BRONX

The Bronx Zoo

Regarded as the largest Zoo in the US, the Bronx Zoo is a great place to become acquainted with over 4,000 animals they have! They have various species including: Elephants, Sea Lions, Flamingoes, Rhinoceros’s, Penguins and much more. This is a great attraction for people of all ages and involves different exhibitions to ensure you can safely interact with some of the animals present in the zoo.


New York Botanical Garden

The New York Botanical Garden is an incredible garden that consists of a museum, learning institution plant research centre, and an all round great place to visit. It’s an informative, as well as, fun and interesting place that showcases the beauty of nature and plants and the importance of sustaining them – they organize various events and exhibitions to demonstrate this.


Yankee Stadium

Located in Concourse, the Yankee Stadium is home to the famous New York Yankees baseball team. Van Cortlandt Park

The Van Cortland Park is a great place to check out with friends or family, it covers over 1000 acres of land. Within the park there are so many different things to do with facilities available. Little Italy

Edgar Allan Poe Cottage

Edgar Allan Poe, famous writer, poet, and literary critic, presided in the Edgar Allan Poe cottage along with his wife and mother in law until his death. He was an incredible and significant influence within the literary world through his use of language, technique and symbolism that still resonates today. For those literary lovers, this is a great place to check that is filled with history and culture.


Bronx Documentary Center

Pelham Bay Park

As one of the largest parks in the city, Pelham Bay Park covers over 2,500 acres of land and sits in the northeast of the Bronx. The Hall of Fame For Great Americans

Located in the Bronx Community College’s University campus, sits The Hall of Fame for Great Americans and incredible place filled with history. It has a Colonnade (a row of collums) which features over 90 portraits of significant American figures such as: Edgar Allan Poe, George Washington Carver, and many more. There are even guided tours available.
