Fireworks at Coney Island
On Friday September 1, the Alliance for Coney Island Presents Fireworks starting at 9.30pm. Enjoy a spectacular show that will light up the Skyline.

Shopping during Labor Day Weekend
Labor Day is the perfect time to do some shopping! Stores operate during their usual business hours during the weekend, with a few exceptions on Monday.
The NBA Flagship store offers a variety of basketball merchandise. During Labor Day they offer a 25% additional off on Adidas merchandise!

Washington Square Park Art Exhibit
The outdoor exhibit takes place Sept, 2, 3 and 4 between 12-6pm. It showcases artists from around the world. The categories in the sidewalk show are: fine arts, graphics, mixed media, oils & acrylics, watercolor, photography, sculpture, crafts, jewelry, metal work, ceramics, glass, mixed media, fiber and wood.
If you are all about the island life, Governor Island has extended it’s opening hour until 10pm on Friday September 1 and is open to all ages. Expect walking through the island’s park, you can enjoy the Island Oysters, Governor Island Beer Co, Fish Fry, Blue Marble and Mister Softee. They will all be open for food and drinks.
Last ferry departs at 10pm.
Electric Zoo Festival
The electronic music festival takes place on Randall’s Island September 1, 2 and 3. It brings top international DJ’s and live acts from all over the world to NYC. It attracts 85 000 people had has received the International Dance Music Awards for “Best Music Event.”
