Momofuku Milk Bar is an award-winning bakery from American chef & owner Christina Tosi. There are locations in the East Village, Nolita, the Financial District, the West Village, Chelsea, Midtown, Williamsburg, the Upper West Side, and Carroll Gardens. Milk Bar is clearly dominating the dessert game with groundbreaking creations that have become New York City food royalty. Milk Bar is widely known for their b’day truffles, cereal milk™ ice cream, compost cookies®, crack pie®, and birthday cake.
Recently they added a line called “Life,” featuring an oatmeal “perfect ten” cookie, a chocolate “best freaking cookie,” and a “maple coconut pecan” cookie. These three cookies are gluten and dairy-free, but packed with flavor due to healthy fats such as nuts and fruits. Self-described as “do-good-feel-good food,” they donate a portion of sales from all “Life” products to a different charity each quarter. Good for the world, good for you, and delicious to boot!Guests can even sign up for baking classes, so you can make your own milk bar favorites from their cookbook. All New York classes are located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (55 Hope Street), and yes, you get to take home your creations. Or, if you do not have the time, you can order as many treats as you desire for an event, party, wedding, or just for fun!
Those with a sweet tooth be warned: these treats are very delicious.
