Conference House Park in the Tottenville section of Staten Island, New York, is a great destination for both park and history buffs.

The Conference House Park combines the modern day events of a NYC Park and the commemorated events of a museum to show the widespread nature of American history. The Conference House Park includes three different houses which give an inside look into American life throughout history. Conference House Park features a 267 acre landscape for simply enjoying the scenery to partaking in different recreational events.

The Conference House Park includes three houses that serve as historical museums which show authentic views into past American life. The Ward House, built in 1830, sits on the waterfront providing breathtaking views and an interesting take on colonial life. In addition, The Biddle House, built in 1845, contains Greek revival architecture such as parallel sweeping and sloped rooflines. Due to its unique architecture, Biddle House continuously draws in visitors. The Rutan-Beckett House, modernized in the mid 19th century, changed its interior design to reflect American life in the 1950s. These various houses present an interesting look through American history. The Conference House Park is home to many different types of outdoor activities and recreational events. Some of these activities include the newly renovated playgrounds, a visitors center, the waterfront pavilion, various paths for walking, hiking and biking, and what is known as “The South Pole” which is the southernmost point in New York State. Furthermore, the park is also home to many different kinds of cultural events such as movies in the park, holiday festivals, historical festivals, and different kinds of fitness events.
